About Us

Set along the forests and wetlands just outside Lancaster, Ontario, Heritage Golf Club began as an ambitious vision to transform rugged, swampy land into a welcoming place for golfers of all abilities. Through careful planning, extensive drainage work, and years of steady development, the course evolved from its original nine holes in the late 1980s into the full 27-hole layout enjoyed today, complete with practice facilities, clubhouse amenities, and welcoming tournament and event spaces. Wildlife corridors were preserved, thousands of trees were maintained or added, and the natural character of the land was woven into the course design, creating a setting that feels both established and distinctly Eastern Ontario.

Throughout its growth, the course remained a true family operation, with multiple generations and extended family members playing active roles in daily operations, maintenance, hospitality, and long-term stewardship. Their dedication helped shape Heritage into more than just a golf course — it became a community gathering place known for accessible golf, friendly service, and continuous improvement over the years. Today, as the club enters its next chapter, that same spirit continues, building on decades of progress while honoring the people and passion that transformed a dream into one of the region’s most loved golf destinations.
